Wholesaling properties often has a bad reputation but if done correctly, wholesalers and real estate agents can work together and both make money and contribute to improving neighborhoods and increasing homeownership. I would ask an agent about their background and if they’re an investor or if they work with investors. You want to work with an investor-friendly agent who knows what investors look for and the agent should be comfortable submitting low offers and negotiating on multiple properties at once. Ask other wholesalers or investors which agents they have worked well with too and see if you can get a referral. Also, see who is listing investment properties in your neighborhood and call them and feel them out on an initial phone call.
