If the purchase contract is structured properly, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with an assignment. It is important to properly manage the expectations of everyone involved. We purchase contracts on assignment frequently. The fact here is that you are not selling a property. You are selling a contract. You are marketing a contract to buy discounted real estate, not marketing a property you don’t own. The asset involved in the transaction, whether real estate or a banana, will need to be inspected by the individual or entity that plans to use it as a basis for the value of your contract.
