For example, let us say you agree with the seller to buy the house for $100,000, and you assign the agreement for $150,000, then you receive a profit of $50,000 for legally transferring the wholesale real estate contract to a new end buyer. Some people sell to owner occupants but that typically requires more work and does not work with some of the methods (which I will be discussing next). The money a wholesaler makes on each deal varies greatly depending on the wholesaler and the property. Some wholesalers make $2,000 on each deal, others $5,000, and some more than $10,000 on each deal. I know multiple wholesalers who are doing more than five wholesale deals a month and averaging over $5,000 per deal.
