I am about to settle on the property and on the settlement documents I see a $5,000.00 charge called an “Assignment Fee” I was unaware of any additional charges such as this… I am already in the deal for $5,000.00 and will lose the EMD if I pull out. Is his a normal practice to slip in a charge like this?
